Viola Davis, John Legend, Alicia Keys, other stars make TIME’s 100 most influential people list

TIME Magazine’s very coveted list of icons, leaders, titans, pioneers, artistes and power players from different walks of life was released on Thursday.

From Hollywood, Oscar winners Viola Davis and Emma Stone made it to the list. Others are Star Wars actors, Riz Ahmed, actress Sarah Paulson, comedians Leslie Jones and Jordan Peele, TV personalities James Corden and RuPaul.

Other entertainers who made the list are Alicia Keys, Demi Lovato and Ed Sheeran.

Writing about these stars were Naomi Campbell on RuPaul, Taylor Swift on Ed Sheeran, Elton John on James Corden, Harry Belafonte on John Legend, Brie Larson on Emma Stone and Meryl Streep on Viola Davis.

Nigeria’s favourite twin stars, Psquare are back with crisp visuals for their single ‘Nobody Ugly’.

Shot by the prolific Clarence Peters, the video features social media effects everyone can relate to and plenty of hilarious scenes.

OAP Toolz had the perfect response for this internet troll

Beat FM OAP Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru shared a photo of herself and husband, Tunde Demuren at a function in London on Thursday.

An Instagram user @beefcheff then took to the comment section with a rather insensitive message: Madam @toolzo toolz toolz …The yoruba in us is expecting your first o though we b oyinbo n we get 7 degree sorry 8 but d yoruba in us is praying o.

Charlie Murphy laid to rest in New York

Comedian, Charlie Murphy who passed on last week after a battle with leukaemia has been laid to rest.

Family, friends and some of the most celebrated comedians gathered to pay their last respect to Murphy in a memorial service.

Dave Chappelle, Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley, George Lopez were in attendance.

It is not known whether his younger brother, Eddie Murphy was at the service as he wasn’t seen in any of the photos shared on social media.

Charlie Murphy was 57.
