COVID-19: LASU reopens [See schedules] : Nigerian Education

Lagos State University, LASU, has announced that its freshmen will return to class by January 11, 2021.

The institution’s resumption plan released on Friday says their classes will be online by then.

The institution announced that students in Terminal classes (400, 500 and 600 levels) will be re-admitted on Monday September 14, 2020 and will only be taught on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Also on Monday, September 14, 2020, the Masters and Ph.D. Students who only have their classes on weekends.

Students in grades 200 to 500 are scheduled to start again on November 9, 2020

Those of sandwich, part-time, and graduate students would resume November 13, 2020 only for weekend courses on the institution’s Epe campus.

Students and faculty are required to wear their face masks and carry their LASU ID cards, without which they would not be admitted to campus.

They also need to report with their hand sanitizer.

The timetable stipulated that all academic staff should be resumed on Monday with the students, while only non-academic staff from CONUAS level 12 and above (with the exception of those who have essential duties on campus) are expected.

Lecturers should force students to wear masks and good ventilation in their classrooms.

Leisure and commercial activities on campus will also be limited.
