Creamy chicken legs in a pan, baked in a garlic, parmesan and cream sauce, are tender and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. This delicious dish makes a perfect dinner in under 45 minutes with minimal preparation and cleaning!

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner. That’s what dinner is about. Fried chicken in a creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Yes, please!

Well, this isn’t one of my fitness recipes, but it’s only 451 calories per serving. So this recipe is great for cheating nights, and I promise it’s worth every bite!

This chicken baked in garlic parmesan cream sauce is the ultimate baked chicken dinner. It’s an easy and delicious way to spice up your midweek menu. Very creamy and a sure win for garlic lovers. It can be made with thighs or breasts for those who love white meat.

Since this dish is a single pan meal, it is very easy to prepare and cook. It all starts with browning your favorite chicken golden brown in a few tablespoons of butter.

Then the chicken is taken out of the pan and more butter is added along with a ton of garlic, then some flour, chicken broth, parmesan and cream, and thus the garlic parmesan cream sauce <3 is born

Everything is then mixed until it is bubbly, giving you the most fragrant and delicious garlic cream sauce ever. At this point, the chicken will be baked in this delicious sauce and baked to perfection.

ingredients

  • 2 lbs Chicken legs on the bone 6-8 pieces
  • 1 tablespoon Italian spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt-
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoon butter

For the garlic, parmesan and cream sauce

  • 2 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 5 Cloves garlic chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Italian spice
  • 2 tablespoon All-purpose flour
  • 1 Cup Chicken broth or water
  • 1/4 Cup freshly grated parmesan
  • 1/2 Cup Whipped cream
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper taste

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  • Season the chicken with Italian seasoning, salt and pepper. Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken skin-down and sauté both sides until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side; Take the chicken out of the pan and set aside. Prepare the cream sauce in the same pan.

How to make the garlic parmesan cream sauce:

  • Melt 2 tablespoons of butter in the same pan over medium heat. Add garlic and cook, stirring frequently, for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant. Add Italian seasoning and flour. Slightly browned, approx. 1 minute. Stir in the chicken broth until completely incorporated with flour. Gradually stir in the cream and parmesan until they have thickened slightly (approx. 1-2 minutes). Season with salt and pepper.

  • Return the chicken to the pan over the parmesan and cream sauce. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the skin is crispy. Garnish with fresh herbs or parmesan. Serve with rice, vegetables or a salad. Enjoy!

Remarks

Chicken breast can also be used in the recipe by halving the baking time.
To make the dish healthier, use half and half instead of cream.
