At Loop we are crazy about haberdashery. We have an amazing selection of embroidery threads and kits. And this week we’d like to introduce you to some of the most beautiful embroidery and touch-up threads we have in stock.
Teinture Sauvage roughly means “Wild Dye” and is the ethos behind these beautiful mini skeins of embroidery wool in color palettes specially developed for Loop. Celine, who lives and works in France, uses only 100% natural botanical dyes and natural wool. Each box contains 5 to 100% naturally dyed wool mini strands, all tucked away in the cutest hand stamped box.
It’s a great honor for us to have more of these exquisite mini strands back in stock at Loop.
Nordiska project for Loop
Another very special item in the shop is the Nordiska project for Loop, a special edition box of vintage linen embroidery threads from Sweden.
While examining linen threads from Linblomman (the flax flower) from the 1960s, Tanja discovered an entire archive of vintage threads in an old haberdashery warehouse that had been hidden for decades. These raised linen threads are so beautiful and ready to be sewn. We are so happy to have some of these limited edition sets of beautiful embroidery threads. The color palettes have been handpicked for you and will be delivered as a keepsake in a beautiful loop box! There are quite a few color palettes out there and we hope you find one that you love.
We recently received a wonderful book! Embroidery on knitting is a brilliant resource full of embroidery stitch ideas for your knitwear.
Ideal for transforming sweaters, hats and gloves with embroidery or for visibly and beautifully touching up valuable items of clothing. The Teinture Sauvage Threads are perfect for knitted garments. You could use some too Metal threads or silk embroidery threads like that Au Ver A Soie D’Alger silk twists for added luxury.
