Pro Tips from Top San Francisco Landscape Architects | inspiration Interior Design

The hours she spent clearing brambles in the woods behind her house in the Brandywine River Valley may have been the first clue that Kate was destined to be a landscape designer. Kate moved to the south of France after studying landscape architecture at Michigan State University. While living and working in the breathtaking light of Provence for four years, her love for Mediterranean plants and water-based plants was rooted.

While working overseas, Kate experienced the tradition and mastery of old world craftsmanship. She designed and worked with artisans who learned their craft from their fathers and grandfathers. She brings this love of craft into Arterra’s extraordinary details and designs.

Kate is a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects, the Association of Professional Landscape Designers, Build It Green, and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She is a certified green building specialist and is constantly looking for ways to integrate sustainable design into all facets of the garden.
