Stan is about to stream a three-part series called Of about the British serial killer Dennis Nilsen. Of will be streaming on Stan on the 15thth September.
The drama, written by Luke Neal, is based on material from the book Killing for business by Brian Masters, who focuses on one of the most notorious cases in British criminal history, that of serial killer Dennis Nilsen.
Nilsen is played by David Tennant (Good omen, Broadchurch) and it shows what it’s like for those who deal closely with the serial killer. From 1978 to 1983, Nilsen murdered boys and young men in his apartment for five years. He was undiscovered for that time, and it wasn’t until DCI Peter Jay was called into his apartment in 1983 to investigate human flesh and bone fragments clogging the sewers that police realized they had a serial killer on their hands.
Dennis Nilsen was arrested and convicted of six murders and two attempted murders at the Old Bailey. He was sentenced to life in prison and died in May 2018.

Disney’s movie – Mulan – is streamed now, but costs a little more
Mulan – Disney’s long-awaited martial arts story – is now streamed on Disney +, but costs an additional $ 34.99. This is all part of Disney’s plan to release the film over time due to COVID-19.
Originally, Mulan was scheduled for a theatrical release in the middle of this year, but when it turned out that this was going to be difficult as many theaters in many countries were still closed, Disney decided to release the film on its streaming channel first, followed by a full theatrical release later Year on 4th December.
If you want to see this film now, you can. Directed by New Zealand-born Niki Caro, Mulan has been relatively well reviewed, but many have lamented its release on the small screen, saying it deserves to be seen on the big screen.
This is because it has amazing scenery and action sequences in it that you just won’t see in other films. Yes, Mulan is definitely made for the big screen, but as a premium family or group experience, it’s a winner.
The martial arts epic is based on an ancient Chinese story and the ancient Chinese ballad of Mulan, which was composed around AD 400. In this world women have to become wives and mothers, but from a young age it is clear that Mulan is different.
Mulan is played by Liu Yifei and has natural gifts that were likely inherited from her father, a true Chinese warrior. When the Chinese emperor (Jet Li) issues a decree requiring a man from every family to serve in the imperial army, Mulan disguises himself as a boy and takes her father’s place as he is ill.
Mulan is a film that draws on the Chinese martial arts tradition, raising the bar for Disney and presenting a rich historical drama.
Mulan is now streamed on Disney + for $ 34.99.

I am a woman is now streamed on Stan
You may find it strange that no one has told Helen Reddy’s story on our screens before. Sure, Reddy wrote a book about her life called: The woman that i am So far, however, we haven’t had a movie about this Australian singer-songwriter and Grammy-winning artist.
Not only is Reddy one of the most successful artists to ever emerge from Australia, she’s also the person who co-wrote and sang the song that became the anthem for the women’s movement in the 1970s. I am a woman.
The new film about Reddy’s life is named simply after that legendary song – I am a woman. Due to COVID-19, the film is slated to be released on Stan earlier this year – after a brief one night premiere in a few select theaters recently.
Why is? It’s an amazing story about how Reddy traveled to America because she was told she had won a record deal, but when she visited the record company about it, she said there was a “mistake”.
Reddy decides to stay in New York and pursue a singing career anyway to make ends meet and take care of her daughter. She befriends the Australian and legendary rock journalist Lillian Roxon and later it is Roxon who inspires her to write and sing the legendary song. I am a woman.
Roxon throws her a party, and it is there that Reddy meets Jeff Wald, a young aspiring talent manager who later becomes her agent and husband. Reddy’s story takes place when she marries Wald and they move to LA so he can help her get the breaks she needs. But it’s not easy and Reddy has to convince him to keep pushing her.
In the end, Wald helps her achieve her goals, but it is not enough to save her marriage as he becomes addicted to cocaine and this gradually makes their relationship toxic. I am a womanwas published at exactly the same time as the women’s liberation movement was peaking. It became the perfect unofficial anthem and was a huge hit at the same time. Of course, the song angered some of the men who said it was “angry” or even “misanthropic”.
Reddy sang many popular songs after this, but she didn’t write many, which seems a shame.
Some reviewers have said that this film about Reddy’s life is timely for 2020 because it gives us historical background on topics that are still relevant to feminist discussions today. While it appeals to a specific audience – those women who grew up using Reddy’s songs as a backdrop for their lives and children – it is nonetheless interesting for younger women who may not know about these events.
For the women and their children living through the 1970s, it would be a deeply personal and rewarding experience to see Reddy sing her songs on the big screen. For those younger than that and also not familiar with Reddy’s songs, it’s likely enough to learn how these songs inspired women in their feminist cause – and how Reddy always holds a special place in their hearts for the role she played becomes a strong and successful woman.
Bill & Ted face the music is the right kind of sequel
Bill & Ted face the music is a sequel that comes 29 years after the last one Bill & Ted Film, so it is a great relief for many fans of the film that this sequel continues the fine tradition.
We had Bill & Ted’s excellent adventure 1989 and Bill & Ted’s mock trip We have 1991 and now 2020 Bill & Ted face the music.
The reason the sequel works could be because it was written by the same people who wrote the first two films – Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon – and by Dean Parisot (Galaxy Quest). With all this talent on board, everything works properly.
Without Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter, of course, there would be none Bill & Ted and luckily both of them are here with bells. They enliven their iconic, moronic characters in fine form.
In this movie Bill and Ted are middle-aged and the musical superstar they ended up reaching Mock trip has faded. But they have an important job – to save the universe, and this time with the help of their daughters.
They’re not the most obvious pair of heroes, but that’s what makes it up Bill & Ted face the music feel so right And it’s just so good to hear those screams again: “Be great with each other” and now let’s “party guys!”
Bill & Ted face the music is in cinemas from Thursday, September 10th (except Victoria)
