Start your trip with a stay at the Kigali Serena Hotel in the commercial heart of Rwanda. During your stay, visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Center. The center is a powerful memorial to the many who were killed during the Rwandan genocide in the mid-1990s. In addition, it serves as a place for the survivors of the massacres to document their stories.
Then stop at the Royal Palace in Nyanza and the National Museum of Rwanda. A privately guided tour allows you to follow the history of the tribal leaders, monarchy, and colonial times of the country.
Next, enjoy a scenic drive to a tea plantation on the edge of the rainforest upon arrival at One & Only Nyungwe House. Relax in luxurious cabins with private balconies, just steps away from the rich wildlife in the forest. Later, go on a chimpanzee migration with experienced guides through the varied areas of Nyungwe Forest National Park.
