There are a few restaurants that you keep going back to and one of them is for me Social house. I’ve been visiting regularly since it opened in Dubai. The reason for this is good food, nice atmosphere, great view and impeccable service.
This time I stopped in for a quick lunch at the social house on my shopping spree. The restaurant was half full and we sat in the window seat with a view of the Dubai Fountain and the legendary Burj Khalifa.
The social house is on Lower ground floor from The Dubai Mall. It is a spacious venue with plenty of and varied seating.
The interior of the social house is cool, casual and oh so chic and the atmosphere is lively. It’s a great place to hang out with friends and also a good place to share a meal with your family. The restaurant also offers a private dining area.
The menu is extensive and offers classic dishes from the East to popular dishes from the West. They currently have a limited time Burger promotion Come on. Since the burger menu didn’t have a vegetarian option, we ordered from their lunch / dinner menu. The Social House also offers a breakfast menu.
We started with her signature Homemade grandma iced tea and Pomegranate juice quench our thirst.
We had them as a starter Quinoa Freekeh Salad and Mezze platter. The salad was super refreshing and nutritious. It was a meal in itself.
The mezze platter consisted of cheese samosa, beetroot falafel, labneh, hummus, beetroot hummus, baba ganoush, and zaatar bread. The mezze platter was excellent and a great vegetarian option.
For the main course, we ordered two of their favorite dishes – Mie Goreng and Nasi Goreng. Both dishes had an authentic Indonesian taste, the taste and texture took me back to my last year’s Bali vacation. I can only recommend these two exquisite dishes.
Since their portion size was huge, we had no place for dessert. I will come back one day to try some of the new desserts on the menu.
The Social House in the Dubai Mall meets all the requirements, no wonder I keep coming back.
