Breaking News: Earl Dalton, Chief Nursing Officer, has been appointed to the Joint Commission on Health Care’s Personnel Advisory Committee. This council was established to support the Joint Commission’s mission to evaluate and inspire health organizations to ensure safe and effective care of the highest quality and value through the Joint Commission’s Health Care Human Resources program.
Dalton brings over 20 years of acute hospital experience and 4 years of healthcare human resources with Health Carousel.
“In the face of the pandemic, the Joint Commission has no longer time to turn to industry experts to work together to find the right approach and ensure our communities have the human resources they need for a service delivery model,” said Dalton. “As CNO of Health Carousel, my focus is on ensuring that the health facilities we oversee can make full use of the staff. The development of the personnel that we make available to our partner institutions is just as important. My focus and vision for healthcare aligns well with those of the Joint Commission and I am excited to see what our Advisory Board can do. “
The Council provides valuable input on the products, services and activities of the staff of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Workers to promote patient safety and quality within the healthcare workforce of all health organizations.
“It is an honor to be elected to the Joint Commission’s Personnel Advisory Board with other top HR professionals in the industry. The Joint Commission has always stood for quality, excellence and above all for the well-being of patients and the communities in which they live. Since 1951, the Joint Commission has taken a methodical approach to excellence in patient care. “
