Babajide Sanwo-Olu, governor of Lagos, has ordered all tertiary institutions under the state government to reopen on September 14th.
Institutions were closed indefinitely in March to review the spread of COVID-19.
However, at a briefing on Saturday, the governor asked them to reopen. He also set September 21 as the tentative date for secondary schools to reopen.
“This decision is not set in stone and is subject to review of our ongoing modeling and the Department of Health’s process,” said Sanwo-Olu.
Currently, only SS3 students are allowed to take the ongoing West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
