Everything You Need To Know About Glossier Vinylic Lip, Plus Swatches!
NEW GLOSSIER MAKEUP SHADES!
I didn’t have much motivation when it came to an elaborate quarantine makeup routine, but my glossier makeup definitely came in handy for my video conferencing. I love a simple, fresh, and wet makeup look.
Glossier started two new shades of Vinylic Lip, a high-gloss lip varnish: Driver, a brick red, and Genius, a blushing peach. Glossier sent me both colors free of charge to test before starting, as I’m a Glossier partner. I feel so special that you sent me this gift because I don’t usually get a gifted product from Glossier.
There are now 8 shades of Glossier Vinylic Lip:
Pony (dark taupe)
Baby (siren red)
Blow-Up (Candy Pink)
Bench (rich plum)
New! Driver (brick red)
New! Genius (blush peach)
The highly pigmented lip varnish comes in a clickable pen so you can control the intensity with each application.
I currently own pony, baby and blow-up. I’m a huge fan of Vinylic Lip. I love the pillow-like, glossy lipstick formula and the ability to layer as needed for a more opaque lip look. Wearing a matte lip can look so flaky and dry on my lips, but Vinylic Lip is super moisturizing and makes my lips look so good – plump, shiny, and healthy.
Before the pandemic, pony was my daily point of contact. It is described as dark taupe on the website, but on my lips it looks more like a purple nude and has a nice sheen. Baby and blow-up are super bright and I don’t reach for those like you often know, the only person I dress for is my living room.
When Drive and Genius arrived, I immediately put them both to the test. Genius is so beautiful in person. A soft peach makes this a perfect everyday shade. It kind of reminds me of bangs, except without the brown undertone. The driver is pigmented darker, but it looks more flattering on my skin tone than I would have thought. I hope that I can use more of it in the fall
I’ve colored in all of the colors I currently have below so you can see a comparison of the five colors. For reference, I have fair skin with neutral undertones.

Glossier gave me two new colors (Driver and Genius), which I introduced in this blog post. All other Vinylic Lip colors were bought with my own money. As always, all opinions are my own.
