The TSoM EAP is an intensive academic program that integrates reading, writing, listening and speaking skills with a specific academic focus.
“[Students] will be able to master the language and learn about Canadian culture while continuing their education. “
The curriculum is tailored to provide non-native speakers with the understanding of English that school requires to succeed at TSoM.
Ehsan Safdari, general manager of TSoM, said that they developed this program to meet the needs of international students who need additional English skills.
“The learning outcomes would go beyond simply teaching the English language. Students acquire solid language skills at the academic level and develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
“You will also learn to communicate safely in different situations,” Safdari noted.
From September 2020, the TSoM EAP will be added every first Monday of the month.
Students are divided into one of four EAP levels based on the results of their placement test.
The TSoM EAP is taught by certified instructors from Languages Canada, and students receive a certificate at the end of the program.
Completion of the program depends on students who did not have the required English skills at the time of applying to TSoM.
Safdari added: “With this program we offer our students an additional opportunity to achieve the desired level of English in order to learn with us.
“We are confident that they can speak the language and learn about Canadian culture while continuing their education.”
