The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University, Oye-Ekiti, Prof. Kayode Soremekun, has announced that he will be enrolled on August 28th.
While announcing this on Monday, July 20, 2020, Prof. Soremikun said that industrial action by the university’s academic staff union would not prevent the ceremony.
The Ibadan Zonal Coordinator of the ASUU, Prof. Ade Adejumo, recently criticized the virtual enrollment of Osun State University in Osogbo and described it as fraud.
The FUOYE VC said he was not responsible to the ASUU and had the right to run the university.
Soremekun said approximately 6,000 students had been admitted to the 2019/2020 academic session in various disciplines.
“We have a virtual enrollment on August 28th for the academic session 2019/2020.
“It will be virtual in the sense that we will alert all students and to avoid the crowd, only the senior staff, the dean for student affairs and the vice chancellor will be there,” said the VC.
