Manuel Chinea, chief operating officer of the popular bank, became the chairman of the Hispanic Federation The supervisory board. The announcement of Thursday July 9, 2020 follows his election during the quarterly board meeting.
Chinea has been instrumental in strengthening the association’s 30-year partnership with the Popular Bank and other institutions. Prior to his appointment, he was Chairman of the Board’s Development Committee and an active member of the Executive Committee.

Chinea has been an active member of several marketing, credit, treasury management and nonprofit organizations for more than two decades. In addition to his work at the Hispanic Federation, he is a board member of the Junior Achievement of New York.
The Hispanic Federation’s mission is to empower and drive Hispanic communities.
The Hispanic Federation provides grants and services to a broad network of nonprofit Latino agencies and communities that serve the most vulnerable members of the Hispanic community.
