8K capability, high resolution and mirrorless full frame Women

Canon has released the EOS R5 and R6 – two mirrorless full-frame cameras that will change the game in terms of stunning graphics, creative skills and seamless performance.

What does it mean to have a mirrorless camera?

Having a mirrorless camera means having a camera that supports multiple lenses. No mirror is required to reflect the image in the viewfinder. This means that the camera is usually lighter, more compact, faster, and better for videos overall.

The Canon EOS R5 and R6 cameras can take up to 20 frames per second with their electronic shutter with fully automatic exposure (AE) and auto focus (AF). This and the 5-axis in-body image stabilizer make taking still pictures and videos even easier and far more effective. By correcting up to 8 stops, the stabilization system is the best in the world.

This means that you can capture the amazing footage of a high-flying bird in the sky in mid-flight by watching certain patterns on its feathers.

Or you can catch your cat in its cheekiest form, hiding behind the broken furniture, with that little innocent glimmer in your eyes.

The Canon EOS R5 and R6 pay attention to the details.

The EOS R5 has the world’s fastest AF focusing speed of just 0.05 seconds and can focus at light intensities of up to -6 EV. “EV” stands for exposure value. If a camera can focus on these lower values, it can focus better in low light environments.

This is good news for avid photographers who can’t help but take a night shot of their extremely macho-looking photogenic dog. We all have time for more of it.

For example, the R6 is the first in the EOS series to have a minimum AF exposure of -6.5 EV, which means that it is slightly more powerful than the R5 in this department.

What does the EOS R5 offer?

  • 45 megapixel resolution
  • 8K 12-bit RAW video
  • 4K DCI (full screen) and 4K UHD at frame rates up to 120p
  • Focuses in just 0.05 seconds and can focus at light intensities as low as -6 EV
  • ISO range 100-51,200
  • 650 g (738 g with battery / memory card)

What does the EOS R6 offer?

  • 20.1 megapixel full-frame sensor
  • 20 fps speed, flexibility of up to 6,072 selectable AF points and algorithms that enable automatic AF tracking modes for face, eye and animal
  • 20.1-megapixel CMOS sensor (for clean images in low-light environments)
  • Film in 4K UHD resolution with up to 59.94 fps
  • ISO range 100-102,400
  • 598 g (690 g with battery / memory card)

Which is right for you?

Side by side, the two have a similar form factor, but it’s fair to say that the EOS R5 is more powerful with larger features, making it perfect for professionals looking for the best technology that will update their photography next Step.

The EOS R6, which is powerful on its own, is a great option for those who still want most of what the EOS R5 has to offer but don’t need additional megapixels and can settle for 4K over 8K.

No matter which one you choose, you are facing great progress in your photo functions.
