Family lunch at Mango People – Dubai

Mango people

Last Saturday my family and I went out for lunch after almost three months and went to a restaurant called Mango people. I am glad we chose this restaurant for dinner after the closure because the food, hospitality and security measures were excellent.

Mango People is a modern, family-style Desi restaurant that serves authentic Pakistani and Indian cuisine. It is located on the ground floor of the Blue Building in Dubailand.

The decor of the restaurant is Bollywood inspired by posters of Bollywood stars and blockbuster films. The Bollywood music on her stereo gives the venue a nostalgic touch. Mango People is a small and cozy restaurant with a friendly atmosphere.

We were offered refreshing Shikanji Recordings as our welcome drinks. From the “Tawa and Tandoor” section of the menu we had Mirchi Paratha and Gobi Paratha. Both parathas were delicious and served with salad and dips. You can have your Paratha combination for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Next we had Paneer Tikka This was a little disappointing as it was dry and had no taste. As vegetarians we were happy with the vegetarian options and as the main course we had almost all vegetable dishes on the menu.

The dishes we tried were Mango People Special Dal, Alu Bhurjee, Chana Masala, Paneer Butter masala, Bhindi Do Pyaaza, Baghaar-e-Baingan, Alu Palak, Biryani vegetables, Roghni Naan and Naan cheese.

All dishes were packed with an exquisite taste and tasted very delicious. We ended our lunch with three of their delicious desserts Gajjar Ka Halwa, Gulab Jamun and Zafrani Kheer.

We really enjoyed our dining experience at Mango People. The food, drinks, atmosphere and service were fabulous. Another plus point is the affordable pricing.
