NIJ Admission Forms… The Nigerian Institute of Journalism, NIJ, NIJ (ND, HND, PGD & Special Program) admission forms for the 2020/2021 academic session are currently on sale. For details on receiving and applying, see below.

NIJ registration forms

Applications from qualified candidates for admission to the National Diploma (ND) of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), the Higher National Diploma (HND), the Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) and special programs for the academic session 2020/2021 are welcome.

Are NIJ Graduates Mobilized for NYSC? YES!! NIJ graduates are usually mobilized for NYSC. Like other graduates from universities in Nigeria, after completing the HND program, students who are of the NYSC age and meet all other criteria will be mobilized to serve in the National Youth Service Corps.

Candidate eligible for the NIJ Post UTME – ND program.

1. Have 5 O’level (WAEC / NECO) credits, including English and math, in no more than 2 sessions.
2. Potential candidates must sit and pass the UTME of the last JAMB with the general cut-off mark

Nigerian Institute of Journalism ND Program – Mass Communication

Eligible for NIJ HND admission.

1. Have a national diploma from a recognized institution with at least less credit and 1 year of experience in industrial ties after the ND.
2. Meet the entry level requirements (ie at least 5 credits in your o’level do not result in more than 2 sessions).

HND program of the Nigerian Institute for Journalism – Mass Communication

Candidate eligible for NIJ Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) admission.

1. Have a good HND or university degree in any discipline
2. Show evidence of participation in the NYSC or exception letter

NIJ PGD programs – postgraduate diploma in print, radio journalism and public relations / advertising.

Eligible for the NIJ Special Program.

The school offers special short-term courses for professional practitioners and practitioners in special areas of mass communication, journalism and related areas. There are programs such as photojournalism, writing and reporting news, editing, radio and television production.
