Yarn along {july} Knitting

~ Two of my favorite things are knitting and reading and I love sharing my projects and current readings here. I would be happy if you would join me every month and tell me what you knit (or crochet) and also read! Jonny and I watched season 4 of This is us While I’ve been working on knitting projects in the past few weeks, I’ve made some progress! I have had some fears lately and found that taking a break to see something and knit for a while is very helpful. I’m on the second sleeve of Mabel’s gray Puddle duck and I retired an Antarctic scarf I started about a year ago and started working on it again.

I read Tuck Everlasting recently for the first time a few weeks ago. I don’t know how I missed this book as a child. I would have loved it. I passed it on to Jonny, who next read it.

I also read Her eyes were watching God. It has been on my reading list for a long time and I have finally ordered a copy. It’s one of my favorite books I’ve ever read. I finished reading with tears on my face and my first impulse was to read it again immediately. A friend recommended the audio book So I listen to it instead and it’s wonderful. I just wasn’t ready to let the story go.
