The visit panel of Lagos State Polytechnic, set up by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to clarify the immediate and distant causes of the ongoing polytechnic crises, has presented its report to the state government.
The report was released on Thursday June 25, 2020 by the Special Advisor to the Governor of Education, Tokunbo Wahab.
When Mr. Wahab received the report from the committee chairman, he thanked members for the timely submission and assured them of the government’s commitment to implementing the investigation team’s recommendations.
He said: “The government was concerned about the crisis in the institution and this report will help us identify the underlying causes of the crises, how they can be resolved and prevent similar problems from occurring in the future.”
During the presentation of the report, the chair of the panel, Barr. Adelowo Afolayan paid tribute to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on behalf of other committee members for the opportunity to work freely to find undisturbed solutions to the years of school crisis.
We remind that the Visitation Panel was formed in October 2019 by the state government in accordance with the applicable law of Lagos State Polytechnic 2012, section C111 (subsection 1-5).
