India-based edtech company Adda247 works with technology-driven company Indic-AI to deliver high quality educational content for students with disabilities. The edtech company will offer educational content processed by Indic-AI for visually impaired students through AI and deep learning.
By partnering with Indic-AI, Adda247 will also address the financial challenges of mainstreaming education for students with disabilities. This also helps solve the problem of the unavailability of tailored and appropriate educational programs for such students. This program will help tailor the learning content and its format to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
The two companies will focus on providing easy-to-understand content for disabled students at various stages. This year, Adda247 will focus on students with over 40% eyesight and, starting next year, will provide high quality content for students with limited mobility, hearing and speech impairments. The platform will use screen readers attached to cell phones and laptops to help visually impaired students.
Indic-AI has been offering free online content registration since May 15, 2020. Adda247 intends to become the first and largest company in India to offer accessible education. The aim is to reach more than 2 million students with disabilities in the age groups 5 to 29 years.
According to a report Anil Nagar, Founder of Adda247, said in BW Education, “As a student-centric edutech company, we have always strived to bring our users the best of content and innovation. This joint initiative will further help us justify our purpose and achieve business goals. By providing ready-to-use, optimized content to our country’s disabled students, we are only fulfilling our duty to serve the country’s millions of students, each with their own needs. “
Sarita Chand, Founder of Indic-AI, said, “Indic-AI’s partnership with leading mainstream edutech company Adda247 will help create special content that is instantly accessible to students with disabilities. This enables them to receive quality education while also offering them the opportunity to provide mentoring and employment support to help them gain financial independence. We integrate deep learning and technology-based solutions to reduce the cost of providing content and make our offerings scalable. This noble initiative will go a long way toward empowering India’s disabled students. “
