Travel between Canada and the United States has been restricted since March 21 to curb the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic. The contracts have since been renewed monthly.

In the face of coronavirus-related travel interruptions around the world, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has relaxed the rules and now allows international students to study abroad online and continue to apply for work after graduation.
The IRCC is also exempting some overseas workers from the overseas biometric requirements and has announced that it should process as many study permits as possible by the start of the academic semester in fall 2020.
Canada has over 80 economic class immigration routes
