The government of the state of Lagos has decided to reopen the state’s schools in two weeks.
Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced this during a press conference on TV on Thursday June 4, 2020.
Sanwo-Olu said the decision will be made after a detailed meeting with education stakeholders.
“I know we are all excited about the plans we have for the reopening of our learning institutions. There is still much to be done in this regard. And we see the education sector very differently.
“However, we will continue to study online at our seven higher institutions.
“In primary and secondary schools, we will work with the Ministry of Education and the State Security Commission in Lagos. And we’ll have a full and specific statement in two weeks, ”he said.
This announcement came after the governor announced that the mosques would reopen on June 19, while the churches would reopen on June 21.
