Vancouver Planning, Transportation & Living in the Age of Covid-19. A presentation at the Phoenix Breakfast Club Urban Planning

This morning I gave a presentation to the Phoenix Group, a gathering of real estate professionals, some of whom have been meeting almost every week since 1983. While the previous speakers mentioned some of the market impacts of COVID-19, I’m an architect. As a planner, I was invited to focus on some of the possible effects of the pandemic on planning, at the city, neighborhood, individual building, and level Suites.

While the reality is that none of us really know what’s going to happen, we can learn from previous pandemics that have changed the design of our cities and homes. This presentation looks at some of these changes and shares the views of the city of Vancouver and others about what could happen in our region.

Here is a link to my presentation. Feel free to share as you see fit!
