It was disturbing, this strange dystopian Covid 19 world.
Shops are closed, everyone is wearing a face mask, certain groceries are out of stock, and many of us work from home. Our usual social gatherings are over; Instead, we communicate through technology and avoid seeing family members who stay in different households.
The Covid-19 pandemic has been going on since the end of last year, and although the cases in the local community are gradually waning, it will be many months before life as we know it becomes “normal” again.
I was in the same vicinity as a confirmed case in mid-March. I had to go through all the time to worry about my health, torture myself about the ones I had recently met, confine myself to my room, and testify to how much work Singapore put into a quarantine case (me ).
Fortunately, there are special Covid 19 insurance plans – it’s always good to be on the safe side than worrying later, especially if the premium is really affordable.

On the plus side, we get free State support also:

However, gaps may still need to be closed. Is the death grant sufficient, especially if you are a critical front worker? What about your family?
Is there also enough support for hospital stays and after hospital stays? Covid-19 patients are isolated from the rest of the world, including their loved ones, and while the government bills the hospital bills, they suffer a significant loss of income while ill / not fully recovering. In some cases, both working parents are hospitalized and cannot look after their children.
According to the World Health OrganizationIn patients with mild symptoms, recovery takes approximately 2 weeks. People with more severe symptoms who need oxygen therapy may take 2-8 weeks to fully recover. Around 1 in 20 people need intensive care, during which they have to be sedated and ventilated. It may take over a year to restore full strength to these people.
