July 4th picnic table along a lake

The summer season begins today. Memorial Day weekend is here! After the last two months, everyone is probably on board to go outside and enjoy the fresh air.

Pink hydrangeas planted from a lamellar wall.

In the past few days we only had rain. It was nice to see that the sun finally came out yesterday afternoon just in time for the weekend. I love what all the rain did to the hydrangeas that I planted outside my house last summer. Seeing them in full bloom is another sign that summer is almost here.

I also love…

I have some old sewing patterns and will do it do some of it.

Training equipment on the floor of the craft room. I call my office.

The gym where I work out has been closed for the past 2 months. I started training at home and found a different online training every week. My favorite by far is a series called Coast to Coast With Jenny Ford on Amazon Prime. Each of the videos is shot in a different city. Jenny sits up behind her with a beautiful look. Makes working out a visual experience. 🙂

I had to bring some of my training equipment to my studiooffice the WiFi in the playroom is not very good.

9400 white crosses in the Normandy American Cemetery.

Usually, Memorial Day weekend is filled with picnics and parades, but this year will be more reserved.

After traveling to the landing beaches of World War II in Normandy, France last fall, I really became aware of the sacrifice that so many had made for freedom.

In my previous house, I always hung some red, white, and blue on the front door, in honor of those who served.
