As a full-time travel blogger, I have been working remotely for several years. I heard that a lot of people said to me that it would be a dream for them to find a remote job that they could do from anywhere. Here’s the good news: you can!
Even if you don’t want to be a blogger or freelancer, more and more companies in various industries are offering completely remote jobs from home. In fact, there are job search websites that only post remote positions.
What kind of remote jobs can you find?
In the past, most remote positions focused on IT or developer jobs. However, nowadays you can find remote jobs in almost every category including sales, marketing, design, customer service, teaching, finance, human resources, data entry or even healthcare.
Since the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, many large companies have informed their teams to work remotely by 2021. This has opened up even more new opportunities that have never existed before.

Top 4 freelancer websites
If you are looking for freelance jobs, there are numerous websites that can help you find a job. You can find performances that are paid per hour or per project. These websites are very competitive and employers prefer to hire people who have already created profiles and reviews. This is the part that initially poses a challenge until you have enough experience in your profile.
Freelancer is one of the largest freelance networks with millions of users every month. The way it works is that clients can post projects on the platform and then use one of two options: a) Find a freelancer yourself based on the directory based on skills and ratings. B) Accept offers from different freelancers and then choose your preferred setting.
Once you have completed a project, you will be charged a fee. This fee varies between 10% and 20% depending on the type of work.
Upwork is said to have better paid jobs compared to other platforms. Customers can post appearances that you can bid on, and you can create a detailed profile that is recognizable to employers.
Upwork also charges a fee per project, but rewards you for billing the same customer for several hours:
20% for the first $ 500 charged to the customer
10% for lifetime customer bills between $ 500.01 and $ 10,000
5% for lifetime customer bills that exceed $ 10,000
Just like with the other freelance platforms, you can create a profile for yourself and apply for appearances. The special thing about People Per Hour is that you can also create “offers”, which are pre-set packages that customers can purchase.
They also have the lowest fees between the best freelance platforms. You pay 20% on the first $ 300, after that 10%.
Fiverr is more of a directory for freelancers so customers can search and find employees. The categories are more limited. Depending on the type of work you’re looking for, you may not get as much from Fiverr as from other platforms.
Customers also tend to hire people for small one-off projects on Fiverr. If you want to find more consistent work, other platforms are better.
