The Army Education Outreach Programor AEOP is the Armed Forces’ platform for promoting STEM training and competence. AEOP includes a portfolio of experiences, internships and competitions. AEOP through its cooperation agreement with Battellehas opened a formal call for proposals.
AEOP and Battelle are looking for a partner to participate in the eCYBERMISSION Program. In particular, the proposal should include a strategy to include under-served students, families, and teachers, as well as targeting military personnel. Overall, the goal of this RFP is to dramatically increase the likelihood of diverse participation in this competitive program that reflects our country’s demographics.
eCYBERMISSION is managed by National Science Teaching Association. The program is a web-based competition for science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) for students in grades 6 through 9, in which all students can see real applications of MINT. Teams of three or four students are instructed to ask questions (for science) or define problems (for technology) and then create explanations (for science) or design solutions (for technology) that address identified problems in their Community based.
Battelle will accept suggestions from companies, organizations, and associations with a history of operational initiatives that focus on STEM education competitions and are proven to deliver measurable results. It is our intention that the selected company, organization or association uses / promotes the materials developed by NSTA for the eCYBERMISSION program. In addition, the proposal should include multiple access points (email, social channels, or established connections) that can target underserved populations and military members in support of AEOP eCYBERMISSION.
