Npower: We don’t sell iPads and laptops yet. Beware of scammers – The National Social Investment Office (NSIO) has urged Nigerians, particularly those benefiting from the NPower program, to publish online reports to request a new batch of volunteers and equipment.
In a statement yesterday, communications manager Tienabeso Bibiye said: “Such news is the work of fraudsters who would not shy away from using anything to use dubious means to free innocent people from their hard-earned resources.
“We would like to state categorically that the federal government has not yet started distributing devices to Batch B NPower beneficiaries.
“Indeed, the process has started and all beneficiaries would be properly informed about it N-Power website or other verified social media contacts of the NSIO if the devices are available. “
The agency found that electronic devices, including iPads and laptops, were part of the working tools that were made available to the program’s trainees.
