This audio covers two of the most important rethinking I’ve made as an entrepreneur – the concepts of “Inevitability thinking‘ and ‘Learned optimism“.
Your default Explanatory styleThat means how you interpret events in your life (negative, positive, temporary, permanent) has a huge impact on your results – and your general well-being and happiness.
The great thing about yours Explanatory style is you can change it. First you need to be aware of what will help you with this audio, and then you have to get to work to redesign it.
As I explain in this audio lesson, the discovery of my own style of explanation came about after a particularly challenging time in my life dealing with panic attacks during my studies. I had to deal with this disease for two years and had to completely rebuild my explanatory style in order to finally heal myself.
This is about more than positive affirmations
Although I’m not against positive affirmations, particularly as part of your process of changing your outlook on life from negative to positive, as an entrepreneur I didn’t think I could wish me results.
I wanted to experience results, tangible things – and in the case of an entrepreneur I wanted to make money.
My very rational brain knew that I had to take action to build something, to attract customers and make sales.
Unfortunately, many entrepreneurs do not come from a place of utmost trust when they start a business for the first time. Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, depression, negative influences, bad self-esteem, bad decisions, bad track record … all of these have a negative impact on your progress.
This is where the inevitability comes into play. Inevitable means guaranteed. It will happen.
To think inevitably, you have to have Believe in a true result. To create this belief, you need to use systems and processes that other people have built that are proven to work. Your success and your understanding of your process mean that you can also congruently believe in your inevitable success.
As I explain in the audio lesson, pairing Inevitability thinking With learned optimism is a strong double strike for the mindset of an entrepreneur. Now listen to it.
