Spring Sampler SAL – week 7 Embroidery

Delightful pots

Welcome to week 7 of the Spring Sampler SAL…

If you need an update to SAL or want to access the FREE sample, you can find all the information here … Spring Sampler Stitch a Long

Week 7

Block 7 – Delightful Pots

DMC thread (use 2 strands continuously), you need:

  • # 371 moss green
  • # 3803 Berry
  • # 758 Antique pink

Sew the pots …

These pots were sewn with 2 strands of thread, but in retrospect I think they would have looked more orderly with just 1 strand – play and see what you think when sewing your own.

Sew the stems …

# 371: The stems are sewn with a continuous fly stitch from the top of the plant to the base. This is the same as for the Lazy Daisies in week 3.

Sew the leaves …

# 758: Satin sew each of the sheets as in the photo above.

And that’s all to complete Block 7 – 3 simple stitches – grid, bow tie, and satin. These look really great (!) When they’re done.

You are now more than halfway through completing your sampler – share your progress on the Facebook group and on Instagram with # itchdoodlespringsal2020 So everyone can see how your seams are going.

Block 8 will be on Thursday, April 23 – see you then.

Have fun sewing!
