To make you feel inspired at home now, here are some exciting books, podcasts and executives that I love. From spiritual gurus who remind you of hope and faith to successful business authors who help you stay motivated (even when you work from home). If there was ever a good time to work on personal growth, now is the time.
One of my favorite routines lately has been to start the morning reading some pages from a good book. It helps me to feel centered, gives me a feeling of peace and enables me to focus on something positive.
I recently read the new one Super attractor Book by Gabrielle Bernstein. Gabby was recommended to me by a friend years ago and is one of those inspiring leaders I connected to right after hearing her life-changing audiobook called The universe has your back: turn fear into belief.
From their books to their guided meditations, their content is always uplifting and inspiring. She also exudes a “cool girl next door who happens to be a spirit junkie” which is a unique combination to say the least. As a former PR / party girl who became a spiritual director and NYT bestselling author, she has become one of my favorite gurus. Her down-to-earth personality and assignable material make her a modern self-help guide with whom many millennial and Gen X girls can identify.
I strongly recommend reading all of Gabby’s books as they are a great reminder of preferring belief to fear to being in the present moment (and not letting your mind be obsessed with the future) and finding true happiness in it (What is) Not due to external circumstances).
In this challenging time, she was of great help to me (and many others) as she regularly published inspiring content about her Instagram account and share guided meditations and podcasts about them website. She recently launched a “Anxiety Relief Workshop” to help us learn tools and techniques that help us relieve stress and feel calm no matter what is going on around us.
Another woman that I admire very much (and who was recently featured in This article about I & C. Lisa Sugar, co-founder and editor-in-chief of “Inspirational advice on empowering women”) POPSUGAR. After blogging about celebrity pop culture to become the successful leader of a now global multimedia platform that reaches 300 million readers, she is definitely someone she can learn career counseling from.
I love her uplifting book called Power Your Happy: Work hard, play beautifully and build your dream life how it tells her personal story about how she launched and expanded her extremely successful brand and business. Not only does she show how her passion fueled her during this process, she also touches on some pretty significant points – how hard working and being nice. In business, people are often more “breakneck”, but their perspective is the opposite, which is very refreshing to learn.
She believes in being kind and helpful to others, and that has set the tone for her entire career and work culture. After working on campaigns with the POPSUGAR Select department many times (like I used to do with brand / influencer partnerships), I learned firsthand how sweet their team was. They have become some of my favorite people in this industry because they are always optimistic, friendly, and inclusive.
I always believed that it started with the top managers to get a feel for the working culture of a company. If they are good-natured, they affect their entire workforce to act similarly. This has proven to be correct with POPSUGAR.
If you are looking for an uplifting book that motivates you to follow your dreams, pursue your passions and not only survive in this time, but actually thrive, I highly recommend reading your optimistic book.
If you’re a fan of uplifting podcasts, this is one of my favorites (and one I’ve seen before) Guest speaker on) means The fearless podcastby Annie Spano (the founder of Style collective).
She regularly shows inspiring women on her show who discuss everything from learning how to tap your potential to sharing ways to meet challenges. As Annie describes it, her podcast says that “conversations are strengthened about how to say yes to your dreams, find your authentic self, live your values, and become the best version of yourself.”
In more than 100 episodes, you will find tips and techniques on how you can have more confidence in yourself and your abilities, let go of self-limiting beliefs and overcome setbacks that hold you back. If you are looking for something to improve and feel inspired at home, I definitely recommend using this podcast.
