UTME 2020: new method for checking JAMB results – The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) asked the candidates on Wednesday to check the results using their phone numbers as the portal was closed. Check here!

We remind that the board released results of 312,000 candidates on Monday who took the exam on Saturday.

However, the candidates were unable to review their results on Tuesday.

Dr. Fabian Benjamin, director, media and information, said in an interview with the Nigeria News Agency (NAN) about the developments that the portal was closed after some fraudsters tried to change the results of the candidates.

The results of the 469,000 candidates who wrote on Monday have been released. Candidates must review their results by entering “RESULT” and sending 55019 with their unique phone numbers for their scores.

“You shouldn’t check your results online because the portal was closed after some fraudsters tried to change the results of the candidates.

“The board is already investigating the activities of these criminals and will not fail to take very drastic measures against those behind them,” said Benjamin.

Benjamin also responded to complaints from candidates that the board deliberately sent candidates to centers that were far from their residential areas.

He claimed that JAMB would not go beyond the viability of a center to meet the aspirations of candidates who want to take the exam there.

“Let me just make it clear here that JAMB doesn’t publish any candidates anywhere.

“It is the candidates who have chosen their examination cities. As soon as the centers in these test cities are occupied, they are removed from the network and the candidates are sent to other centers that are closest to these test cities.

“It is not an intentional act on our part,” he said.
