– Art Dubai online catalog: www.artdubai.ae/catalogue/
The 2020 online catalog shows more than 500 works of art from participating galleries in all sections of the fair, some presenting works from their 2020 booth presentations, while others present works from their expanded artist lists.
The Art Dubai 2020 online catalog allows you to search works, filter selections based on a number of criteria, and make purchase inquiries directly to the galleries.
– On Line Healing, curated by Marina Fokidis: www.artdubai.ae/performances-20/
“A year ago we started working on the performance program for Art Dubai 2020, and of course we had no idea what was coming. We have developed a program that regards healing as an act of togetherness and art. Healing as a gesture of the poetic restoration of experiences, processes and memories, which along with borders, asymmetries of power and other “temporal” conventions are part of our human existence. Who could imagine that shortly before the opening we will be faced with an unprecedented “time convention” as we are currently experiencing it?
The program would have developed in two coherent parts: on site (venue of Art Dubai) and online. The online area was and remains a curatorial experiment to expand the “physical” – in the area of contemporary art performance – in a way that goes beyond any kind of physical limitations. In these extraordinary times, when the online is the window of humanity to the world, O.n (line) healing takes on a new dimension. Selected artists Angelo Plessas, Bahar Noorizadeh, Imaad Majeed, Tabita Rezaire and Tiago Sant’Ana and were invited to involve their bodies and minds as well as various communities and spectators in the rethinking of society. Taking into account the constantly evolving knowledge of what healing means, the program aims to create unexpected relationships between different and heterogeneous knowledge and to create a medical space for the existence of our collective therapy. With solidarity and love, Marina Fokidis, curator of the Art Dubai Performances Program “
