With all the extra time we have at home now, I hope you could take a look at our latest blog posts on home design. About a week ago I shared ideas for creating DIY wooden wall treatments. If you missed it, check out the fantastic designs here. Today I want to share ideas to find the perfect ceiling design. Blanket, you ask? Yes. Blanket. Gone are the days of boring drywall and ugly popcorn blankets. The ceiling design has taken on a whole new meaning and I have some that I think you’ll really like.
Choose a ceiling design that suits you
I love the wood design that is depicted in every little niche in the ceiling. Mixing white woodwork with natural wood is a very classy look. The link did not work with this picture, so unfortunately I have no source.
White blankets are gone! I love that dark wooden ceiling. I may be doing something similar in my son’s room. I think it’s great that the room is still so bright and lit, but the accented ceiling offers just enough design element to make it an incredible space!
Here is another option for Planking your ceiling, including a tutorial on planking a popcorn blanket!
This Coffered ceilings may be more traditional, but they are no less noble.
And how about wooden beams to emphasize your space? I love wooden beams so much. You can add so much character to your room and dress it up or beautify it. source Here.
But now we’re going a step further with this wooden beam to this amazing beauty! Solid single beams are beautiful, but I love this design even more! Source is currently not working.
Don’t let the dark rays detract from this look if you really don’t love the darker wood colors. White rays can be just as elegant and sometimes more suitable for your designed space.
Add a bright color and intricate design like This is not painful to look at either. This gorgeous design can easily be mimicked with painter’s tape if you can’t add the cropped design.
This ceiling design is simple and yet very striking because the large spherical lamp hangs on it. I love that your eye is drawn to the square shape in the middle.
If herringbone patterns are your thing, don’t hesitate to try it on your blanket as shown in this kitchen. A herringbone pattern like this can add a nice accent to a neutral kitchen.
