LIRS summer scholarships for campers with a migration background Immigration

The Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Service (LIRS) accepts applications for campers who sign up for a camp at a Lutheran Outdoor Ministries (LOM) camp this summer. To qualify for campership, applicants must first attend a LOM summer camp. The parents of the RV or the RV itself must be immigrants to the United States.

This opportunity to camp is made possible by the annual LOM donation auction 2019, the tithing of which was intended for LIRS. This tenth was enhanced by a generous match from LOM supporters who appreciate the experience that a week in the camp offers. LIRS uses this gift to build a mobile home for children with a migration background.

Camperships are awarded based on availability and may not exceed $ 400 / RV. Applications can be downloaded via LIRS under the button below or in the camp office. For more information, contact Sue Ellen Spotts, Congregational Work Manager ([email protected]).
