To do things at Woodlands Family theme park review
There’s so much to do at Woodlands Theme Park that kids from 18 months to 18 years (and their parents) will have a great day. It is the largest theme park in Devon and with a mix of rides, animals, soft play and special events, it is easily an entire day for the family. And if you don’t want to go home, you can even camp there.
The huge area near Totnes is divided into “zones”. Every time we go there, the first stop must be to see the dinosaurs. With Jurassic Park music and huge moving models, you can see all of children’s favorites like T.Rex, Diplodocus, Stegosaurus and Velociraptors, with a few more unusual ones. However, watch out for the roaring let’s jump how many times you’ve seen them!
In the park’s toddler zone, where there are various play areas and an indoor circus soft play with bouncy castle and train, the little ones can easily run around. Or if that wasn’t enough, there is also a huge three-story soft play warehouse in another part of the site, which is one of the largest and best in the Southwest. You could literally spend a whole day here when it rains.
Other zones are Ninja Zone, Arctic Zone, Fantasi Forest Zone, Action Zone, Sea Monster Zone and Cyclone Canyon. Each has its own rides and entertainment – with so much to do that you struggle to integrate everything into one day.
In summer, favorites are the daring Vertigo ride (not for the faint-hearted), inflatable water slides (to be avoided if you want to stay dry!), The toboggan ride, the jumping pillow, the pirate ship, bumper boats and pedal boats.
Every visit always ends with a trip to the zoo farm to see reptiles, meerkats, goats, pigs, parrots and horses. Woodlands also hosts regular and seasonal events – the Easter egg hunt and Christmas grotto are fabulous, and visits to child characters like Hey Duggee, Peter Rabbit, Paddington, Titan the Robot, Paw Patrol, and Super Starz.
eat – There are four restaurants and cafes selling a variety of food and drinks, as well as ice cream kiosks conveniently located in the park. You are welcome to picnic outdoors.
