Do you have trouble creatively inspiring your mind to write? You’re not alone. We all need some motivation to blog sometimes. Here are five tips to help your blog write mojo again and motivation juices flow again.
You won’t always feel motivated or inspired to post on your blog. If you want to write and publish a contribution every day, this can sometimes be difficult.
Still, that doesn’t mean you have to post something every day. Occasionally, you can take a day off.
I recently took up the challenge of publishing a contribution every day. Since I only published two or three posts a month, I can now tell you that I find it difficult.
I still have 24 days to go and I am obliged to do this job 🙂
If you’re having trouble finding the motivation to write, here’s what to do Five quick tips to get inspiration for your next post.
- Read a chapter of a book.
- Listen to a podcast.
- Watch a YouTube video.
- Go for a walk or jog quickly.
Now let me briefly explain how these five things help me get creative when I’m not inspired to blog.
I meditate to almost always clear my mind before writing or starting a project. Even if it’s only five or ten minutes.
It can be difficult to clear the mind when many things are going on. I struggle with generalized fear most days, so it’s pretty difficult for me, but I consciously try to meditate.
Find a quiet room, sit comfortably, close your eyes and focus on a good thing that will help calm your mind.
I like to have my noise canceling headphones on and hear relaxing binaural ambient beats. You don’t have to do that, of course. If you prefer, you can just hear the sounds around you.
Read a chapter of a book
Another thing I like to do sometimes when I can’t concentrate on mediation is reading.
However, reading after mediation can also help. Once I clear my mind, I can replace old thoughts with positive and focused thoughts. And I can do this by reading a chapter of a good book.
I like motivational self-help books. I find it more suitable to inspire me, to write or to be creative.
Find a good book, something that invigorates you and your mind, of course nothing dark.
Listen to a podcast
Podcasts make listening easier. And there are so many types of podcasts to adapt to these days. Self help, motivation, business, positive attitude, strategy etc.
The great thing about podcasts is that you can take them anywhere.
I started listening recently The Fear Guy Podcast and the Jim Rohn Archives, I recommend these two if you are a blogger or entrepreneur struggling with motivation or even fear.
Jim RohnJust in case you’re wondering, it’s considered the grandfather of self-improvement.
Watch a YouTube video
Some people may think that watching YouTube videos could be viewed as hesitant. However, if you are looking for motivation and inspiration, you are productive for me.
You don’t have to see anything long or intense, five minutes of something motivating is enough.
There are many motivational videos for every occasion on YouTube. I recommend looking for a few good ones to bookmark or subscribe to.
Find and watch videos that are relevant to your needs, goals, and aspirations.
Go for a walk or jog quickly
When you feel depressed, sluggish, and uninspired, it’s time to release some endorphins. Take a quick brisk walk or a short 20-minute run if you can.
Physical activity doesn’t just release good endorphins in the brain. It is also beneficial for your fitness and overall happiness and wellbeing.
Why not try to kill two birds with one stone and take music or a podcast with you?
So, just a quick quick post today. Doing one or two of the above can definitely increase your motivation and inspire you to write your next post.
These don’t always work for me, but mostly. Let me know in the comment section if you are doing one of these or something else to get motivated. I would like to know.
