HCG Diet Meal Plan – what is it and how does it work? Health Education

HCG diet meal plan

Reading time: 9 protocol

The HCG diet meal plan for weight loss is a very popular program and has always been used. This weight loss diet program is based on the extreme calorie restriction theory, such as 500 calories a day, which claims to cause the fastest possible weight loss of about 1 to 2 pounds a day.

In this special program, HCG hormone is released in your body through injections, pills or other supplements that directly help control your hunger level, reduce muscle loss and alleviate other hormonal imbalances. This is the same hormone that naturally occurs in a pregnant woman’s body to support the growing baby throughout the 9 month journey.

Once you’ve decided on this diet plan, you’ll get a list of some protein-rich foods that can easily meet your daily calories and one shot of HCG a day. The program is undoubtedly effective, but has many limitations. This is why the FDA has not approved this diet plan and classified it as illegal, dangerous, and fraudulent. In the short term, however, this program is beneficial for getting quick results on weight loss.

What is the hCG diet menu?

HCG or human chorionic gonadotropin is a hormone that is naturally produced in the body of a pregnant woman. Although this hormone is used in medicine for various purposes, but other than these uses, it has gained popularity as an effective and quick weight loss measure.

In the hCG diet plan, the person who is trying to lose weight and is ready to get results quickly will receive hCG pills, drops, and injections to help them lose weight. This dose of hCG is administered regularly until this diet plan continues along with a very restricted diet menu that contains a very low calorie content, for example 500 calories a day.

The hCG fashion diet plan has been in use for many decades, but first, it gained popularity in 1954 when doctor ATW Simeons published a report in The Lancet that said there was a direct link between hCG injections and the weight of the initial and the progressive phase there is loss. His theory essentially stems from other doctors who used the hCG hormone to treat children affected by the Fröhlich syndrome, a disease that causes obesity and inhibits the growth of reproductive organs.

Doctor Simeons theorized that if hCG hormone shots help the patient with Fröhlich syndrome reduce their body weight, this hormone can also work in people who do not have the disease but who are overweight or obese.

He considered hCG to be an effective appetite suppressant. In later decades, however, the researchers discovered that not only did hCG reduce weight, but also a huge calorie reduction, 500 calories a day for a few weeks, which made it possible to reduce weight drastically.

Carol Wolin-Riklin, R.D., of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, says there are no professionals in taking hCG. Its long-term use can lead to a person no longer being fed, since on the restrictive eating plan nobody can get enough food that is necessary for healthy body function. Otherwise there may be electrolyte disturbances and cardiac arrhythmias.

It can be said that weight loss that occurs after following this diet meal is due to a highly restrictive diet routine of 500 calories a day and most of the body weight comes from lean muscle and water.

Some important facts about the hCG diet plan

Here are some key facts about the hCG diet plan that everyone needs to know.

The hCG diet plan is not supported by rigorous studies or clinical studies

The hCG diet plan is not supported by any clinical study or research study to prove the effectiveness of this weight loss program. There is also no scientific evidence that it can be used as a weight loss tool. The hCG hormone is safer for treating infertility problems in women because it is the hormone that is produced by the placenta during pregnancy.

Elizabeth Miller, Acting Director of the FDA’s Department of Prescription Drugs and Health Fraud, says that people who take hCG homeopathic medicines believe that they are losing weight due to the medication, but in reality it is more of a strict calorie restriction still playing an active role in losing weight with hCG drugs.

The hCG diet plan can help you lose weight, but has limitations

hCG diet meal plan, also known as the hCG 500 calorie diet, is actually because it has a lot to do to lose weight. In this special diet program for weight loss in overweight people, there is a fixed rule according to which only 500 calories are consumed per day. On the ground floor, however, this log seems unrealistic because active women need an average of 2200 to 2400 calories a day, according to the survey report published by the National Institutes of Health.

In addition, this limited calorie intake (500 calories) is only limited to certain food sources, e.g. B. animal protein from crab, fresh white fish, beef, veal, chicken breast, shrimp or lobster and certain sources of fruit, vegetables and cereals. One bad thing about the hCG diet plan is that you can’t eat oils in this program, even though they are healthy edible oils like EVOO and avocado. With all of these extreme dietary and energy constraints, it is obvious to understand how the hCG plan triggers weight loss in a person. However, this type of calorie reduction can have a direct or indirect negative impact on health.

The side effects of this diet plan are great

Taking illegal hCG injections and pills can cause many strange and irritable side effects such as fatigue, headache and excessive irritation. Some important health effects that can occur due to long-term use of hCG intakes are irregular heartbeat, gallstones and an electrolyte imbalance that regulates the function of your nerves and body muscles.

Almost the entire hCG supplement does not actually contain any hCG hormone

Despite the ability of the hCG to suppress your appetite, you need a doctor’s prescription and support to get a real hCG. Because of its negative health effects, the FDA has classified it as illegal or fraudulent and clearly stated that it cannot be sold over the counter for any purpose.

This means that the over-the-counter hCG preparations with a label for homeopathic medicines are forgiving regarding the actual ingredients of such products. This is because supplement products are not regulated or managed by the FDA.

The hCG diet injections, pills, drops and supplements are not really homeopathic

To be included in the list of homeopathic treatments by the FDA, any form of medication must be listed in the United States Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia (HPUS), the official list of homeopathic agents that must be used in the EU homeopathic medicines. To be counted as a homeopathic medicine, every product has to meet certain, tiny criteria. In the case of over-the-counter hCG preparations, however, they do not meet these essential criteria that are necessary to consider them homeopathic. In addition, hCG is not included in this list (HPUS), so supplements sold in the name of homeopaths are not really homeopathic in the strict sense.

HCG diet meal plan overview

hcg diet plan

The hCG diet plan follows specific food intake protocols. Regardless of different hCG protocols, however, it basically follows the diet plan mentioned below in its different phases.

HCG diet plan phase 1

This phase is also called the loading phase, in which the participant has to eat as many meals as possible. Although this phase of hCG is not limited by a must menu in this menu, there are some limitations. Food that must not be consumed in this phase is inserted, hardened and processed – dried. Only fresh food can be on the menu.

Food that you can eat in bulk is high in protein and fatty. Foods high in sugar and carbohydrates must be avoided. Foods that are very common in this first phase of the hCG diet plan are meat and seafood, which are high-protein and high-fat food sources. You are free to prepare the dishes as you wish, e.g. B. for grilling, cooking, grilling, roasting and baking. However, you must not use oils and fats in these cooking processes.

HCG diet plan phase 2

The phase 2 hCG diet plan includes the consumption of just 500 calories per day. Despite this strong calorie restriction, the participant can still choose many healthy foods.

In phase 2, priority is given to foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, meat and chicken breast. Foods that must not be consumed include sugar, bread, and fatty foods. The breakfast menu includes tea or coffee of any kind, but must exclude additives such as sugar and cream.

Instead of adding sugar, the participant may use saccharin or stevia as a sweetener. Only one tablespoon of milk can be used. An average of two liters of water should be drunk per day, and sugary and carbonated drinks should be avoided.

The components of the lunch menu must be selected very precisely. Like the source of protein you want to include in the menu, it must be carefully weighed from 100 grams of uncooked weight, not the weight of the cooked food. Only one type of vegetable can be selected, and the combination of two or more truths is not permitted. A piece of fruit can be included, but visible fats must not be included.

The diet restrictions for dinner are similar to those for lunch, but the user is allowed to choose a food selection in both meals, which is very encouraging for participants. So you can change your evening menu at will from the lunch menu.

The extreme level of calorie restriction at this stage can lead to cravings for more aromatic foods. To reduce this risk of cravings and add flavor to your meals at this stage, you can add lemon juice, Himalayan salt, Celtic salt, and sea salt. Some other dressing materials include chili powder, mustard powder, pepper, garlic, thyme, parsley, apple cider vinegar, and garlic, which help improve the taste. Bread sticks or a portion of fruit can be consumed as snacks between large meals.

HCG diet plan phase 3

After the strict calorie limits of 500 calories a day in phase 2, phase 3 comes as relaxation because you need to increase your calories and limit up to 2000 calories a day. However, this sudden increase in the calorie limit on the menu seems extremely difficult to incorporate into life as the body needs some adjustment time for this sudden increase in food intake.

At this stage, the participant must eat the same types of food that they ate in the previous stages of the hCG diet plan, but in greater quantities. This phase lasts up to 21 days. After 21 days, the participant is allowed to consume the desired amount of fats and carbohydrates in their meal. At this time, fats from sources such as oils, nuts and meat are allowed.

Slowly digestible carbohydrate foods like oats, oatmeal, fruit, brown rice and quinoa should be eaten. Dangerous types of carbohydrates, which are mainly found in foods such as beans, yams, potatoes, pasta, bread and pumpkins, should be avoided. In order to control and maintain your desired body weight, a restriction of fats and carbohydrates is essential.

HCG diet plan phase 4

In this final phase of the hCG diet plan, there is no specific menu that you need to consume. At this point, the participant has already reached the expected build in general. The effectiveness of this special weight loss diet plan has already been proven at this point. The only requirement for this phase is a healthy lifestyle in order to maintain the target body that has already been reached.

Now maintaining the diet routine of all previous phases proves to be helpful. At this particular stage, you can eat all foods that were excluded in earlier stages, but in moderate amounts. Now, taking all previously excluded foods occasionally helps control cravings for restricted foods. Therefore, this phase can be seen comparatively as the least restrictive phase. However, you need to maintain discipline through self-wisdom to maintain your desired body weight and prevent further fat gain
