The governor of Osun, Adegboyega Oyetola, organized a two-day educational policy summit.
State Deputy Governor Benedict Alabi said on Friday February 21, 2020 that the summit should strengthen the sector.
He added that this would reaffirm the government’s promise and therefore help lead an all-inclusive government that supports people’s desires and needs.
“I think good governance is about listening to people, and that was what the governor’s tour informed after the 2018 elections,” he said.
“We also discovered the need to adjust government education policies. The DFID assessment of citizens’ needs showed that there are areas in our education policy that we need to strengthen.
“For this reason, we set up tried and tested hands in education here in Nigeria today to take a critical look at what we have. They will also advise us on how we can meet the needs of the people in Osun, ”he added.
