The celebrations are in full force from late January to mid-February. Images of Bonhomme, Carnaval’s legendary snowman ambassador, hang all over the city. These winter activities in Quebec City include a sugar hut, ice slides, winter sports, hot tubs, and a drink at the ice bar. We participated in a life-size version of foosball. Admire the huge ice palace in front of the parliament building. You can bowl in a giant inflatable ball you are in and try to knock the pins over. It is one of the most interesting things to do in Québec in winter. There are events for solo participants or for team members.
