JAMB stops UTME registration for 2020 : Nigerian Education

Just as the candidates are preparing to register for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) for 2020, the JAMB board has officially announced that the registration portal is closed.

The board announced this and we quote below:

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) unfortunately has to announce that no registration will (and should) be done in the 243 centers in Nigeria. This is because today, Thursday, January 16, 2020 there will be a nationwide review of attitudes by third parties.

The reason why JAMB stops registering for 2020 is simply to avoid JAMB candidate crowding of the centers. However, it is important to note that UTME registration will resume on Friday, January 17th, 2020. The board regrets any inconvenience this decision may have caused the candidate.

In the event that you have not yet registered, you will find helpful JAMB links here that provide you with important information about UTME 2020.
