The 2020 JAMB registration form to the UTME and Direct Entry Candidates is now on sale. Registration has started January 13, 2020 and will end February 17, 2020.

Applications from appropriately qualified candidates for admission to universities in Nigeria for the 2019/2020 academic conference are welcome. Registration for JAMB begins on Monday, January 13, 2020.

UTME REQUEST

The general admission requirements for admission to the First Degree, National Diploma (ND), National Innovation Diploma (NID) and Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE) programs at universities, other colleges, colleges for monotechnology, polytechnics, innovation companies and colleges of education are five (5) O’Level credit passports, including math and English.

You can find details in the eBrochure, which is given to each candidate in the accredited CBT centers and JAMB branch offices. It is available for download on www.jamb.gov.ng and on the Android Mobile App from the Google Play Store.

NOTE: DO NOT GIVE YOUR PASSWORD TO A CENTER (or cyber café). Any center that requests more than your profile code, email address and registration number is a scam. Do not enter a password ..

DIRECT REGISTRATION CONDITIONS

Candidates with one of the following qualifications can be considered for direct entry admission:

  1. At least one O-level credit passport in five (5) subjects in no more than two sessions with at least two prescribed subjects (for each discipline) at major or advanced level. No subject is counted twice at both the ordinary and advanced levels.
  2. Two passports (in prescribed subjects for each discipline) for the advanced-level exam from IJMB, Cambridge, JUPEB or Institute of Baccalaureate with SSCE / GCE.
  3. Consists of two major subjects in the NCE with S.C.E., NTC / NBC credits or equivalents in THREE other subjects (mainly for educational courses) and ND. For educational courses.
  4. At least lower credit ratings in the National Diploma or National Innovation Diploma and the O’Level requirements.
  5. DE CANDIDATES MUST PROVIDE YOUR JAMB REGISTRATION NUMBERS WITH WHICH YOU HAVE GOT ADMISSION TO NCE / NID / DIPLOMA AND PREVIOUS GRADE
  6. QUALIFICATIONS FROM TEST BODIES (IJMB, CAMBRIDGE, WAEC, JUPEB, etc.) APPROVED BY NIGERIA DOES NOT REQUIRE A PREVIOUS JAMB NUMBER.

PLEASE NOTE: CANDIDATES DO NOT HAVE TO TAKE UTME AND DE AT THE SAME TIME. IF YOU APPLY THROUGH UTME AND GET QUALIFICATION LATER, YOU CAN UPGRADE YOUR UTME FOR FREE.

Each candidate must be aware that the first choice can be a college of education, a university, an institution for innovation companies, a polytechnic / monotechnical college, a Nigerian defense academy or a police academy.

PROFILE REGISTRATION

  • A candidate can use a cell phone number. The mobile number used for the short message is automatically linked to the name of the applicant and is used for all messages relating to his 2019 application, examination / admission. NOTE THE SIM NUMBER USED. It is of paramount importance for subsequent communication
  • The candidate sends his / her name [Surname First-Name Middle-Name (if any)] via SMS to This should be a maximum of 38 characters + 2 spaces between the names = a total of 40 characters up to 55019, e.g. B. Tinubu Adamu Odumegwu. First and last name are mandatory
  • A 10-character pro fi code is received by the candidate on the same phone number.
  • The candidate presents the prol code at the time the form is obtained (banks, MMOs, MFBs, switches, USSD partners). The formePIN is then sent to the candidate as a text message
  • v. The candidate presents the ePIN in a CBT center accredited by JAMB for
    Registration.

SELF-HELP IF ERROR / LOSS OF PROFILE CODE

  1. To correct an error on behalf of the applicant, send the [CORRECT Surname First-Name Middle-Name] up to 55019 as a text message from the same cell phone number.
  2. Send to retrieve a lost prole code [RESEND] up to 55019 as SMS from the same cell phone number.
  3. Send to retrieve a lost profile code [RESEND] up to 55019 as SMS from the same cell phone number.

The ePIN outputs are:

    1. NIPOST and eleven participating banks (ACCESS, FCMB, FIDELITY, FIRSTBANK, JAIZ, Polaris, IBTC from Stanbic, STERLING, UNION and UNITY)
    2. Mobile money providers: Paga, e-Transact, Pocket Moni, TEASYPay, Packway Projects (Readycash) and Xpress payment solutions
    3. Microfinance banks involved: Trust MFB, Zazzau MFB, Obeledun MFB and Regent MFB
    4. Online payment platforms: system specifications (Remita), InterSwitch (Quickteller), E-Transact and Unied Payment Services (UPS)
    5. Cooperative: JAMB Multi-Purpose Cooperative Society
    6. Other: Unique ICT, Digital Partners Network.
    7. POS (Citi-Serve)
    8. Bank ATMs listed under 5D (i) above (InterSwitch)
    9. USSD (ERCAS) for mobile banking
    10. Nigerian embassies in Abidjan, Accra, Addis Ababa, Beau, Cotonou, Jeddah, Johannesburg and London.
  1. Collect the profile code from the applicant’s phone
  2. Collect payments and send the ePIN via SMS to the applicant’s phone
  3. If necessary, facilitate POS payment
  4. Issue proof of payment
  5. Collect the center’s service fees when instructed to do so by the CBT center
  6. ePIN is to be transmitted electronically to candidates and not to be
    handwritten.

  • The registration fee for candidates from the eight countries is $ 20 or the equivalent in each of the eight countries
  • Applicants from eight countries can download the application from the Board’s website (www.jamb.gov.ng) and fill in the fee with the eight places indicated on the website.
  1. If the ePIN is not received or is lost, send [UTMEPIN] or [DEPIN] up to 55019 for UTME or DE from the unique number
  2. The ePIN will then be called up and sent to the applicant under the unique number

AFTER SUCCESSFUL PAYMENT AND RECEIVED FROM ePIN, AN APPLICANT SHOULD GO TO ONE OF THE JAMB-ACCREDITED CBT CENTERS TO COMPLETE ITS REGISTRATION.

The candidate submits the ePIN to a JAMB-accredited CBT center to complete the registration. The name of the candidate, which the candidate entered on his phone when registering the profile, is automatically displayed when the CBT center enters the E-PIN.

BLIND CANDIDATES

Candidates who are blind indicate this by entering BLIND and also choose to take their exam in CBT mode or to read the exam.

DEAF / MUTE CANDIDATES

A special indicator for deaf / dumb people was created to differentiate them for special attention in the examination room. Deaf candidates must therefore confirm this appropriately when registering.

DO YOU HAVE BIOMETRIC CHALLENGES?

  1. Candidates with biometric challenges can only register at the JAMB headquarters in Abuja.
  2. No other CBT center is allowed to register such candidates
  3. They will also sit at the JAMB headquarters in Abuja for their exam.
  • The CBT EXAM 2019 starts on Saturday March 14th and at the end Saturday April 4th2020,

JAMB WILL NOT SEND CANDIDATES TO AN EXAM CITY (OR CITY GROUP) THAT IS DIFFERENT FROM THE CANDIDATE SELECTED ON REGISTRATION.

HOWEVER, CANDIDATES ARE RECOMMENDED TO REGISTER ON TIME BEFORE SUCTIONING THE AVAILABLE SPACES IN YOUR CITY OR CITY GROUP AND THEREFORE ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE.

  • The registration fee is three thousand five hundred (N3, 500) Naira only.   • The board will also conduct a mock exam at all accredited CBT centers to prepare and familiarize interested candidates with the CBT environment. Interested candidates are advised to indicate their interest in the mock exam when registering, if this takes place on or before January 31, 2020.
  • The date for the MOCK exam is Tuesday, February 18, 2020,
  • For this exercise, the CBT centers may only collect a separate seven hundred naira (700 euros) from interested candidates through their bank accounts. Payment for the bogus exam is made to the center to which the applicant is assigned after the assigned bogus centers have been notified. No association or organization may carry out a mock examination on behalf of JAMB.

  5. Applicants are advised to read and understand the admission guidelines and instructions for completing the online registration prior to the registration process
  6. Multiple registrations are not candidates who register more than once, will be identified and disqualified
  7. Applicants should note that they must be present and take a live photo that is stamped on their proof of results and letter of admission. No scanned / stapled passport photo is allowed
  8. Regardless of their choice of degree, candidates are also tested against a general text: Sweet Sixteen by Bolaji Abdullahi for UTME and The Last Days at Forcados High School by A. H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates.
  9. Candidates / officials may not enter the examination center with a wristwatch, telephone, electronic device or ballpoint pen. Only ordinary pencil is allowed
  10. Applicants are cautioned that the board of directors does not require or authorize any other services from a cyber café or facility other than the accredited CBT centers for this exercise
