UTME / JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATIONS FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Below you will find the UTME / JAMB SUBJECT COMBINATIONS for mechanical engineering in the Faculty of Engineering / Environment / Technology;

  • English language(*), Mathematics, physics and chemistry.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  1. OOU requires three (3) of chemistry, physics, math, biology / agricultural science.

UTME / JAMB REQUIREMENTS FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Below you will find the UTME requirements for mechanical engineering in the Faculty of Engineering / Environment / Technology;

  • Five (5) SSC credits for physics, chemistry, math, English and all other science subjects.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  1. BELL as in computer technology. (Ii) FED-OYE EKITI requires five (5) O-Level credits in SSC, including English, math, physics, and chemistry, as well as a science or social science subject.
  2. FUNAAB requires an O-level biology passport.
  3. UNN- As in agricultural and bioresource technology.
  4. FUTO, FUNAAB, ILORIN and UNN as in agricultural engineering.
  5. IBADAN – As in agricultural and environmental technology.
  6. For JOS, OSUSTECH and LAGOS, Further Mathematics requires credit at the "O" level.
  7. LAGOS – as in chemistry.
  8. The LASU requires six (6) O-level credit cards in mathematics, physics, chemistry, English, a science subject and another subject in a maximum of two (2) sessions.
  9. MAIDUGURI accepts "O" level passport in English.
  10. MAUTY requires Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Agricultural Science / Geography / Further Mathematics / Technical Drawing / Welding and Production Engineering.
  11. The NDU requires five (5) O-level credit cards in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and another subject in a maximum of two (2) sessions.
  12. RSUST – As in civil engineering.
  13. UMUDIKE – As in civil engineering.
  14. UYO as in computer technology.
  15. The NDA requires another scientific and technical subject from the fields of technical drawing, advanced mathematics, biology and geography.

DIRECT SETTING FOR MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Below you will find the DIRECT ENTRY (DE) requirement for mechanical engineering in the Faculty of Engineering / Environment / Technology;

  • Two (2) degrees in chemistry, physics and mathematics.
  • ND Upper Credit, NCE Technical and HND in Mech. Engineering.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATION (WAIVER)

  1. ABU accepted
    a) two (2) A-Level / IJMB passes in Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics.
    b) ND Upper Credit, NCE Credit and HND Lower Credit in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. ABUAD, CRUTECH, RSUST, IGBINEDION, EKSU and MINNA – as in civil engineering.
  3. ABUJA accepts HND Lower Credit or ND Upper Credit in mechanical engineering from accredited institutes plus UTME requirements.
  4. BELLS accepted
    a) two (2) degrees in mathematics, physics / chemistry.
    b) ND / HND degree in mechanical engineering.
  5. BENIN – as in chemical engineering.
  6. CARITAS, PHC and NDU – no direct access.
  7. COOU accepts lower ND / HND credits in mechanical engineering and at least one "O" pass in English.
  8. ESUTECH does not accept ND credits for direct entry.
  9. FUNAAB accepts high school diplomas in mathematics, physics and chemistry or equivalents. FUNAAB accepts ND credits in mechanical engineering or related programs.
  10. FUTA accepted
    a) ND or other professional qualification in the relevant programs in addition to the requirements for the O-Level.
    b) The A-level of the GCE is in addition to the requirements for the O-level at a meeting in at least two (2) of the subjects chemistry, physics and mathematics passed.
  11. For FUTO at least two (2) Baccalaureate examinations in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry are required, which are not lower than C. Accepts ND / HND points in relevant programs in 200 or 300 levels. Candidates must meet the UTME requirements. Does not accept first degree or NCE.
  12. IBADAN – As in agricultural and environmental technology.
  13. ILORIN – As in agricultural and biosystems engineering. Relevant programs include biomedical engineering and materials and metallurgy engineering, agricultural engineering.
  14. JOS requires two (2) Abitur examinations in mathematics and physics. Accepts ND points in Mechanical Engineering in addition to an O-point in Mathematics.
  15. LAGOS, LAUTECH and BENIN – as in chemistry.
  16. LASU accepted
    (a) ND award or HND cap in 200 levels.
    (b) HND differentiation in 300 steps.
  17. LAUTECH accepts agronomy instead of biology.
  18. MAUTY accepted
    (a) Passing the A-level in the relevant subjects with at least three (3) O-levels in mathematics, physics and chemistry.
    (b) ND / HND with a minimum of fewer credits in each course.
    (c) IJMB seven (7) points in English, Physics, Chemistry / Mathematics.
  19. MINNA accepts ND / HND credits in relevant courses.
  20. The NDA requires the other natural science subject from the fields of technical drawing, advanced mathematics, biology and geography.
  21. NDU, MAKURDI and UNN as well as in agricultural engineering.
  22. OAU grants ND / HND credits in Mechanical Engineering for Part II and III accordingly.
  23. OAU, BAYERO and FUTA – do not accept NCE Technical.
  24. OOU accepts ND / HND in relevant programs.
  25. RSUST and ABUAD – as in civil engineering.
  26. UMUDIKE and LAUTECH accept ND / HND credits in 200 or 300 levels.
  27. UNN – As in agricultural and bioresource technology.
  28. UYO- As in computer science.
  29. CARITAS requires two (2) Baccalaureate examinations in chemistry, physics and mathematics as well as a credit assessment in English. It also accepts ND, NCE Technical or HND in engineering for direct entry.

Where can you work with a degree in mechanical engineering?

machine builders Design power-generating machines such as electric generators, combustion engines, steam and gas turbines, and power-generating machines such as refrigeration and air conditioning. machine builders Design other machines in buildings, eg. As elevators and escalators.

With a degree in mechanical engineering one can find work in different state and private enterprises. Mechanical engineer can opt for various job offers, such as:

  1. maintenance Engineer
  2. Sicherheitsingeneur
  3. quality control
  4. development engineer
  5. Production manager / engineer, etc
