Nice Wednesday loves. Alright, friend, today is the day we tell you where we'll be at ORC this season. Last week we held you in suspense and let you know that we would tackle a room in Carmeon's house, but not say which one. Throughout the week we have received a lot of news from you, with guesses as to what storage space will be available. So please drumroll please … ..
We will work on Carmeon's master bedroom and bathroom suite! Yes, you heard it right! We accept two Rooms for ORC go this round. Now I have to tell you when we were approached and talked about making two holes. I thought she was a cuckoo for Coco Puffs! I mean, it's crazy enough to take a seat in 6 weeks! BUT … Carm and I are both on the big side or sit down a bit when it comes to design challenges. So we thought: let's do that!
Ok, her bathroom is O RI GI NAL. And I do not mean the good kind of original either. As if this room had not been touched at all and it literally needs EVERYTHING. This will be a complete gut renovation and the room will get everything new … tiles, showers, vanities, sinks, taps, floors, faucets … ALL.
We are very happy about the design of this room. The plan is to become very modern, with an allusion to the mid-century of their home. Both Carmeon and her husband Marcus want their space to feel slim and minimal. The space is not huge and the current layout works, so we do not change the layout, but every inch of it will get a new look. It will have deep olive tones (this tile is EVERYTHING) paired with bright white, brass, matt black and natural wood elements. It will also get some much needed natural light. It's going to be so good, all of you.
For your bedroom, we really play out the existing design, but it will also get a fresh new look. In fact, her color scheme in the bedroom inspired the design of both rooms …
Carm painted the walls with a beautiful olive some time ago, so we keep that mood, but spice things up with a different layout and incorporate new furniture, lighting, curtains, accessories, etc. modern and slightly masculine. There will be construction work with a new French window and the popcorn blankets will also say goodbye!
Ya'll … do not even take me to the vintage burlwood bedside tables that are combined with this statement bed! I'M DYING. We are fortunate enough to work with some great sponsors to help us bring that vision to life, and we can not wait to share this process with you.
Okay, as mentioned last week, Carm and I share the process of this renovation on our two blogs go to her Now to hear more details from her perspective. Also make sure you check in to all other featured designer rooms this week.
See you next time friends ….
