Updates to the IFP health insurance market 2020 HEALTH INSURANCE

2020 brings many changes for individual and family health insurance. One of the most significant changes is the extension of subsidies from 400% of the federal poverty line in 2019 to 600% in 2020, This means that a person who earns nearly $ 75,000, or a family of four who earns up to $ 154,500, may be eligible for tax credits by 2020, higher monthly premiums due to weaker competition in the hospital system and higher living costs.

In addition, Anthem Blue Cross will reintroduce its HMO plans in Los Angeles and the Inland Empire as well as the EPO plans in Central Valley and the Central Coast after leaving these markets in 2018. There are also some minor changes to the benefits of each plan and even some new over-the-counter plans in 2020.
