Season the pork chops with salt and ground black pepper.
Switch on the Saute mode in your Instant Pot. Once the pot is fully heated (to make sure the pork chops do not stick to the pot), add the olive oil. Fry the pork chops until both sides turn slightly brown. (You can fry the pork chops with a plain pan or a non-stick pan.)
Add the garlic and chicken broth to the instant pot. Sprinkle the pork chops with cayenne pepper. Cover the pot and select Manual and set to high pressure for 8 minutes.
If it beeps, turn to the quick release. If the valve falls down, carefully remove the lid, add the heavy whipped cream, the salt and the shredded Parmesan cheese and stir well.
