"I applied multiple times to recruit the Nigerian army, but I was not there. Then I decided to visit a sorcerer with my ambitions instructing me to indulge me with the boys with sodomy to make my dream come true, "he said.

The suspect, who happened to be a shopkeeper in the quarters, was arrested for sodomy a 14-year-old boy. He confessed to luring the boy by giving him provisions that include: Minerals, juices, biscuits, milk and money.

In a press release, the commander of the Jigawa State of the Nigerian Security and Civil Protection Corps, SC Adamu Shehu, said that the boy's mother's curiosity led to his arrest.

Shehu added that a Umar Abubakar (70 years old) from Makwalla district was also arrested for condemning a 20-year-old man from the Zarenawa district in Birnin Kudu Township.

He explained,

"The suspects were arrested at around 11:00 pm during the Birnin Kudu Market incident by officers from the Vigilante group, who immediately handed over the suspects to the NSCDC command."

Abubakar is a tea seller who uses free tea to bring some of his victims into the area.

The state NSCDC therefore urged parents to be curious about the behavior of their community and the kind of friends they mix with, and advised them to report any dubious action to security personnel.
