ItalDesign will present a new model at the Geneva Motor Show 2019, and we reports exclusively that Audi's own styling company had requested to reserve the name "DaVinci" in Europe.

Now the company seems to have raised the ItalDesign DaVinci, even though it is in short supply for the time being.

Styling House has shown a photo on its Instagram page this week showing a side view of the Geneva 2019 Show Car. The design study seems to blend smooth lines with aggressive cuts and wrinkles, giving it a sleek yet sporty look. Due to the proportions, it looks like this car is built around the Audi A7.

"On March 5th, 1:30 pm, we will unveil our new project for @ gimsswiss 2019," read Italdesign's Instagram post. "We hope you enjoy this artistic sketch. Do you like it?"

Another interesting aspect of this unnamed design study is the fuel filler flap. Directly behind the left front wheel, it looks as if it is not really a fuel filler flap, but an access point for a loading port. This design study could then be based on the new Audi A7 plug-in, which premieres next to the A6 plug-in, the A8 plug-in and the Q5 plug-in in Geneva.

The image, released by ItalDesign, is also on a yellowed parchment background containing design drawings in the style of Leonardo de Vinci.

Stay tuned for more information about ItalDesign DaVinci, including whether this is actually its name after debuting early next month.
