Audi is looking forward to introducing plug-in hybrid versions of its core models worldwide after years.

The automaker announced Monday that plug-in hybrid versions of the Q5, A6, A7 Sportback and A8 models will be showcased at the 2019 International Motor Show next week.

The cars are not marked like the current A3 e-tron Sportback, Instead, e-tron is reserved for Audi's battery electric cars, and the plug-in hybrids receive a TFSI label.

In each of the models, an electric motor with an 8-speed automatic transmission is integrated, which in conjunction with an internal combustion engine transmits the power to all four wheels. Each model also has a 14-kilowatt-hour battery capable of a 25-mile electric range with a single charge.

The plug-in hybrids Q5, A6 and A7 are also available in Performance version. These are similar to the S models from Audi and have a sporty suspension and a higher peak power of the electric motor. The cars will also sport accents in the cabins, and the A6 and A7 versions will also feature a black styling package with dark exterior accents, red-colored calipers and tinted rear windows.

The availability of Audi's new plug-in hybrid in the United States is pending, but in other markets, the vehicles will be available in 2019.

The Geneva Motor Show starts on March 5th. To find out more about the other vehicles that appear at the Swiss Exhibition, go to our dedicated hub,
