… warns that INEC invites the wrath of Nigerians

press release

The Democratic Party of Peoples (PDP) accuses the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of withholding sensitive electoral material including collation sheet (form EC8D) and result sheet (form EC8E) in states that are considered PDP strongholds.

The information available to us shows that certain compromised INEC officials are in contact with representatives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to withhold the material in order to pave the way for the allocation of the fictitious results for the President Muhammadu Buhari and candidates of the APC National Assembly in the affected states.

For example in Abia So far, no collation forms and results sheets have been received for elections in Senatorial states, while in Delta and several other states no result lists have been received for all elections.

Also in the state of Kano were held in the administrative district of Garko instead of 144 only 105 result lists of the Senate. Rogo LGA has received 106 Senate results sheets instead of 141; Danbatta has instead received 29 boxes of 28 boxes of representatives of the House of Representatives Tofa LGA has received 18 boxes instead of 19. This scenario plays a role in many other states.

The PDP urges INEC Chair Prof. Mahmood Yakubu to release the materials immediately on the appropriate points, and warns that it will never allow anyone to use any means in this election.

Prof. Yakubu has to realize that this serious violation already increases the tension and ultimately does to lead in the affected countries before the election to a serious crisis, if nothing was done against the trend.

The PDP recalls that it had previously warned that the INEC chairman had again succumbed to the intimidation of the APC and the Buhari presidency to join their rigging plan, the hoarding and, in some cases, the distribution of sensitive materials delayed for the PDP fortress as well as the use of APC agents as polling station.

The PDP warns the INEC chairman not to allow the APC to use it to hinder the electoral process, especially after the shameful postponement of the February 16 election.

Nigerians are alert. They note the trend and will not oppose any attempt by INEC and the APC to manipulate these elections.
